Personal Care Specialist Team Lead

The Personal Care Specialist Team Lead oversees daily operations of a patient support team, managing queue activities, workload distribution, and team performance. The role involves coaching staff, handling escalations, supporting HR functions, and collaborating with management to ensure operational efficiency and compliance.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily queue activities, task distribution, and workload prioritization to support operational efficiency
- Monitor operational KPIs including call wait times, task delays, and related metrics
- Provide real-time support to team members and escalate operational, copay, and FOC-related issues
- Conduct coaching sessions, one-on-ones, and performance reviews to develop team performance
- Oversee audit processes, recruitment coordination, onboarding, and absence management in collaboration with District Manager
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years as Personal Care Specialist or patient support/case management experience
- Bachelor's degree in nursing, social work, business administration, healthcare administration, or equivalent
- Less than 2 years leadership or management experience required
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and time management abilities
- Proven coaching, mentoring, and team leadership capabilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and oral
- Current RN license or RSW designation preferred; healthcare operations certification an asset
