Senior Backend Engineer in Financial Tech

Transform the fintech landscape as a Senior Backend Engineer at a leading firm in Downtown Toronto. This hybrid position emphasizes building scalable backend systems for investment and risk management. In this role, you'll engage with diverse teams to design high-performance solutions that streamline financial data workflows and support complex datasets across asset classes. Your contributions will be key in optimizing performance and enhancing the platform's capabilities within a cloud-native architecture. Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate with teams to integrate market data effectively
Partner with trading and risk teams to define new functionalities
Develop understanding of financial workflows and instruments
Build microservices-based backend services and APIs
Design scalable cloud applications using AWS technologies

Requirements:

Degree in Computer Science or related field
Strong experience in Python, Rust, Java, or Go
Background in API design and distributed systems
Familiarity with database concepts
Interest in trading platforms and financial systems
