ABOUT THE ROLE

As the Senior Business Systems Application Analyst you will understand how a team really works today, find where the process itself is the problem, agree a better way of working with the people who do it, then configure the systems to support it. Take over administration of the platform and keep improving it. You are not a requirements-gatherer who hands work to someone else, and you are not a ticket queue. You own the problem from process map to configuration.

We are deliberately maturing our processes, not celebrating their absence. We want rigour — you will be building it rather than operating inside it. If you have been waiting for the scope to own a whole function rather than one slice of it, this is that role.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Map current-state processes across sales, marketing, finance, people ops and support; identify the friction and design better ways of working with the teams involved.


• Lead the migration of platform administration from departmental experts into IT, one application at a time.


• Administer the platforms once transitioned: configuration, licences, permissions, fields, workflows and automation.


• Build integrations between systems using native connectors and low-code tooling, and remove manual re-keying.


• Own build-vs-buy decisions for internal capability needs, and govern what gets built.


• Act as the single intake point for application requests, turning "we need to buy X" into a problem statement.


• Provide tier-3 support, produce documentation and train business-side process owners.


• Manage renewals, licence right-sizing and access reviews across the estate.

WHAT WERE LOOKING FOR

• Demonstrated business process improvement experienceL you can walk us through a process you mapped, redesigned and implemented, and say what measurably changed.


• 3+ years as the hands-on administrator of one or more business SaaS platforms. You have owned the admin console, not supervised someone who did.


• Ability to run a process mapping session with a team that didn't ask for one, and leave with them bought in rather than defensive.


• Strong structural reasoning: you can design a permissions model, map fields between two systems, or build multi-branch conditional automation and explain your choices.


• Practical integration experience with native connectors and low-code tooling (Zapier, Make, Workato, Power Automate or similar).


• Working knowledge of SSO, SCIM provisioning and role-based access control.


• Sound build-vs-buy judgement, with total cost of ownership in mind rather than cost to deliver.


• Credibility with senior stakeholders — able to tell a department head their process is the problem and keep the relationship intact.
