AML Compliance Analyst

This is a newly created position with the opportunity to become an important part of the organization's evolving Anti-Money Laundering (AML) compliance program.
We're looking for someone who is analytical, naturally curious and highly detail-oriented someone who enjoys investigating information, identifying potential risks and asking questions when something doesn't quite add up.
You don't necessarily need to be an AML expert. Experience within banking, credit unions, lending, leasing, compliance, risk or other financial services environments could provide an excellent foundation for this opportunity.

Working as part of a collaborative team, you'll support AML compliance throughout the customer lifecycle, including:
Complete AML reviews for new customer onboarding, including identity verification and ultimate beneficial ownership (UBO) assessment; conduct customer risk assessments and assign appropriate risk ratings; complete Politically Exposed Person (PEP) and sanctions screening; monitor customer accounts and transaction activity for unusual patterns or potential risk; review corporate registrations, entity information and changes in ownership; monitor repayment activity and investigate inconsistencies or concerns.

As this is a developing compliance function, you'll also play an important role in building and maintaining the AML data required to support the program.

What We're Looking For:
25 years of relevant experience in AML, compliance, banking, credit unions, lending, financial services, risk or a related area; exposure to AML/KYC, customer due diligence, risk assessment or financial investigations is an asset; strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
