Job Title: Entry Level Financial Coordinator

Location: Oasis Orthodontics

Overview: Join our dynamic orthodontic team as an entry level financial coordinator responsible for supporting the financial operations of our organization. Key duties include processing insurance claims, collecting insurance payments, and following a system to reduce overdue collections. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with patients and insurance companies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and update paperwork and administrative processes to ensure timely payment collection.
• Conduct orientations for new patients and ensure all necessary documents are signed.
• Input and maintain financial contracts within the software system.
• Identify and resolve financial discrepancies and address related concerns.
• Keep financial information current in the Practice Management Software.
• Oversee and balance daily financial transactions.
• Develop and sustain positive relationships with insurance companies.
• Monitor and update chart notes regarding any changes to insurance.
• Handle the processing of insurance claims, collect insurance payments, and reconcile insurance cheques.
• Set up payment agreements with new patients.
• Follow up on overdue accounts.
• Respond promptly to patient inquiries.
• Answer and manage all customer calls efficiently.
• Implement and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly monitoring systems and checklists.
• Address and resolve any patient concerns or issues.

Qualifications:

Education:

• A bachelor's degree

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
• Familiarity with financial software systems and databases.
• Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.

Analytical Skills:

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in financial data management.

Organizational Skills:

• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.

Experience (preferred but not always required):

• Previous experience in a finance-related role, such as an internship or part-time job.
• Experience with processing insurance claims and handling insurance payments.

Pay: $17.00-$22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
