Position Summary:   

Betz Pools Ltd. is seeking an experienced Concrete Pool Sales Representative to join our growing team. This role is ideal for an experienced salesperson with a strong understanding of concrete construction, excavation, and/or custom concrete pool construction who can confidently guide clients through the process of designing and investing in a high-end concrete swimming pool.  

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing new business, meeting with prospective clients, conducting site consultations, understanding project requirements, preparing estimates and proposals, and ultimately converting opportunities into completed projects.  

This is a consultative sales role. Our clients are investing in a significant, highly customized project, and the successful candidate must be able to combine technical construction knowledge with exceptional sales and relationship-building skills .  

Key Responsibilities 

Sales & Business Development

• Generate and develop new concrete pool sales opportunities through company leads, referrals, networking, proactive business development, and establishing relationships with landscaping companies throughout the GTAH to secure pool construction projects and partnership opportunities. 
• Respond to and qualify incoming leads to determine client needs, project scope, budget, and timeline. 
• Conduct in-home and on-site consultations with prospective clients. 
• Build strong relationships with homeowners, designers, builders, contractors, and other industry professionals. 
• Present Betz Pools' concrete pool construction process, products, services, and value proposition. 
• Lead clients through the complete sales process from initial consultation through contract signing and project handoff. 
• Consistently follow up with prospective clients and maintain an organized sales pipeline. 

Technical & Project Assessment  

• Assess prospective pool sites and identify factors that may impact construction, cost, scheduling, or feasibility. 
• Understand the fundamentals of concrete pool construction, including excavation, forming, reinforcing steel, plumbing, shotcrete/gunite, waterproofing, finishes, and related construction processes. 
• Review site conditions and project requirements to develop accurate scopes of work. 
• Collaborate with internal construction teams, designers, estimators, and subcontractors to ensure proposed projects are realistic and accurately priced. 
• Identify potential construction challenges or risks before a project is sold. 
• Take accurate site measurements, photographs, and project notes. 

Estimating & Proposals  

• Prepare accurate project estimates and pricing based on site conditions, scope, materials, labour, and selected finishes/features. 
• Develop professional proposals that clearly communicate project scope, specifications, pricing, and expectations. 
• Explain construction methods, timelines, inclusions, exclusions, and payment requirements to clients. 
• Negotiate pricing and project details within established company guidelines. 
• Ensure contracts and sales documentation are complete and accurate prior to project handoff. 

Client Experience  

• Provide a professional, consultative, and high-end experience throughout the sales process. 
• Set realistic expectations regarding construction timelines, costs, site conditions, and potential challenges. 
• Communicate clearly and consistently with clients throughout the pre-construction process. 
• Ensure a smooth transition from Sales to Project Management and Construction. 
• Maintain strong relationships with clients after the sale to support referrals and future business opportunities. 

Working Schedule  

• Monday to Friday 
• Daily start time of 6:00 AM at the Betz Pools office in Stouffville, Ontario 
• End times vary depending on project requirements, customer meetings, site visits, and operational needs 
• Occasional evening and Saturday work may be required during peak construction periods 
• Regular travel throughout the GTA and Southern Ontario is required 
• Applicants must possess reliable transportation and be able to report to the Stouffville office each morning 

Qualifications

Required

• Minimum 5 years of experience in swimming pool renovation, pool construction, or pool project management 
• Strong understanding of swimming pool construction and renovation techniques 
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and plans 
• Excellent organizational, planning, and scheduling skills 
• Strong customer service and communication abilities 
• Experience coordinating multiple projects simultaneously 
• Effective problem-solving and decision-making skills 
• Knowledge of construction contracts and subcontractor management 
• Understanding of Ontario Occupational Health & Safety requirements and applicable building codes 
• Demonstrated ability to manage project costs and maintain profitability 
• Valid Ontario Class G Driver's License 
• Clean driver's abstract 
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and standard business software

Preferred Assets

• Previous estimating or construction sales experience 
• Experience preparing renovation proposals and quotations 
• Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certification 
• First Aid & CPR certification 
• WHMIS certification 
• Working at Heights certification 
• Experience with construction management software
