Job Description
Key responsibilities include:
- Supervise all on-site construction activities to ensure projects are completed efficiently and safely.
- Coordinate and communicate with subcontractors to ensure work aligns with project timelines and specifications.
- Monitor project progress and address any issues or delays promptly to maintain schedules.
- Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols and regulations on the construction site.
- Conduct regular site inspections to maintain quality control and address any discrepancies.
- Manage on-site logistics, including materials, equipment, and labour allocation.
- Collaborate with the project management team to provide updates and resolve challenges effectively.
- Maintain accurate project documentation, including daily reports and records of site activities.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Site Superintendent should have:
- Experience managing custom home and low-rise residential construction projects from start to finish.
- Hands-on experience with both Part 9 and Part 3 projects (essential).
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and safety standards.
- Proven ability to lead and manage subcontractors and on-site teams effectively.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills to resolve on-site challenges.
- Familiarity with construction documentation and project management tools.
