Equipment Rental Generalist

Job Responsibility:
Job Summary We are seeking a generalist who will be responsible for day-to-day operations within our equipment rental business, including the maintenance, repair, and upkeep of our rental equipment. The ideal candidate will have a good background in small engine repair and equipment maintenance, combined with excellent organizational and customer service skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform regular maintenance and repair of small engines, power tools, and equipment in our rental fleet (mobile generators, light towers, pressure washers, etc.)
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues with equipment and engines.
- Maintain inventory of parts and tools necessary for repairs and service.
- Conduct equipment inspections and ensure all rental items are fully operational and safe for customer use.
- Provide customer support, assisting with equipment selection, rentals, and handling any service-related concerns.
- Assist with equipment cleaning, preparation, and restocking as needed.
- Help with general warehouse duties, including equipment check-in/check-out, organization, and maintenance.
- Contribute to a positive and safe work environment.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in small engine repair and maintenance.
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
- Ability to work independently, take initiative, and manage multiple tasks.
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to lift and carry rental equipment.
- Previous experience in equipment rental or related fields is a plus, but not required.
