We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Material Coordinator to support maintenance activities at a large-scale mining operation. This role plays an important part in ensuring materials required for planned and reactive maintenance are sourced, ordered, tracked, and available when needed.

Working closely with maintenance, production, planning, warehouse, and procurement teams, you will help minimize material-related delays and keep maintenance work moving efficiently.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

• Monitor upcoming work orders in PREP status and confirm purchase orders have been issued for required materials

• Expedite maintenance materials and communicate delivery delays or schedule impacts to area coordinators

• Update material availability and delivery information within the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS)

• Coordinate with Production Coordinators to identify material requirements for reactive maintenance

• Source, procure, and expedite non-stock or off-site materials required for urgent and reactive work

• Monitor MRO procurement reports, rebuildable spares, core returns, VMI locations, and inventory replenishment requirements

• Complete MRO change requests and support the management of consumables and maintenance-related inventory

• Assist with turnaround activities, including consumable ordering, material coordination, and tool crib requirements

• Support frontline supervisors with work order searches, BOM navigation, and identification of required spare parts

• Recommend improvements to equipment BOMs, CMMS hierarchy, spare parts information, and material-management processes

The Maintenance Material Coordinator will focus on material coordination and procurement and will notbe responsible for staging warehouse-stocked parts, locating materials within the warehouse, or creating reactive work orders and ordering stocked materials for those work orders.

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE

• Previous experience in maintenance material coordination, MRO, procurement, inventory, or a similar role within mining, oil and gas, heavy industrial, or manufacturing environments

• Strong working knowledge of CMMS systems, specifically SAP, work orders, purchase orders, BOMs, and maintenance material processes

• Experience sourcing and expediting parts, consumables, and maintenance materials from suppliers

• Understanding of inventory management, rebuildable spares, core returns, and vendor-managed inventory

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple urgent priorities and changing maintenance requirements

• Effective communication skills and the ability to work closely with maintenance, operations, warehouse, procurement, and planning teams

• Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify material shortages and potential schedule impacts

• Ability to travel to nearby off-site locations to retrieve urgently required materials when practical

• Experience supporting shutdowns or turnarounds is considered an asset

• A proactive, safety-focused approach to supporting maintenance execution in an industrial environment
