Sr Accounting Manager (CPA)

KT Partners LLP is looking for an experienced, detailed oriented, Sr. Accounting Manager (CPA) with at least 8 years of public accounting experience to add to our team in either our Toronto or Vaughan offices. Our new Sr. Accounting Manager will provide accounting expertise with primary emphasis on the delivery of accurate and timely financial reporting to our clients. The Sr. Accounting Manager will report directly to a partner in the firm.

$125-160K annual compensation, based on qualifications and experience.

What you'll do:

The Sr. Accounting Manager is a senior role. Because of this, our Sr. Accounting Manager must be able to step in and provide senior level accounting expertise and the ability to provide excellent service to our clients, including during our busy seasons.

On a day-to-day basis you will:

- Organize multiple projects, simultaneously, for delivery of corporate and personal tax compliance, including high volumes of client files

- Review high volumes of T1s during tax season

- Provide prompt communication (written or other) with clients and fellow team members

- Work closely with the firm's partners to support service standards to our clients

- Review the work of junior team members on your team, and mentor their development

- Develop compliant solutions for ambiguous and unstructured problems and situations

- Anticipate stakeholder needs, and develop strategy and potential solutions

- Promote trust by guiding dialogue with team members, clients, and stakeholders

- Develop new opportunities with existing clients

- Prioritize and uphold the firm's code of ethics and business conduct

What you need to have:

- CPA designation (this role is not suitable for those working towards their designation)

- 8-10 years of relevant public accounting experience

- Multiple years of experience reviewing high volumes of T1s during tax season

- Extensive knowledge of GAAP and ASPE

- Caseware and Taxprep experience

- Proven attention to detail

- Proven organization skills

- Past demonstration with being a self-starter and able to plan and organize your workflow

- Proven ability to work efficiently as a part of a team or independently

- Previous experience supervising junior accounting team members

- Past demonstration of the ability to multi-task with multiple client files at once

- Proven ability to easily meet deadlines and maintain excellent customer service

- Proven experience and in-depth understanding and execution of Canadian Tax best practice

Bonus points if you are Multilingual or have US Tax experience.
