Our TorontoJobs.ca client is looking for an Accounting Manager for an IT company to lead financial operations, improve processes, and provide critical insights to support the company's growth. Job Requirements:
Responsibilities:
Financial & Accounting Operations:
- Lead billing, invoicing, and collections to ensure timely financial transactions.
- Oversee daily accounting functions, including expense management, accounts payable, and reconciliations.
- Implement internal controls to maintain financial integrity and compliance.
- Collaborate with external accounting firms to optimize tax strategies and ensure accurate filings.
Financial Reporting & Analysis:
- Deliver timely and insightful financial reports to support business decisions.
- Conduct financial analysis to assess profitability, efficiency, and trends.
- Provide data-driven recommendations to enhance financial performance.
Budgeting & Forecasting:
- Lead corporate budgeting efforts and collaborate with departments for accuracy.
- Develop and refine financial forecasts to support business planning.
- Identify opportunities to reduce costs and improve financial accountability.
Continuous Improvement & Compliance:
- Enhance financial processes to improve efficiency and scalability.
- Ensure compliance with government regulations and financial reporting standards.
- Identify opportunities to leverage government incentives and tax benefits.
Qualifications:
- Experience as an Accounting Manager or Senior Accounting Specialist in a similar role.
- CPA, CA, CMA, or CFA designation is required.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and compliance.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks, MS Excel, and other financial tools.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong communication and leadership abilities to work across departments.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
