Applied AI Engineer at Derivative Path

Innovate with Derivative Path as an Applied AI Engineer in Canada. Develop AI-driven features and enhance financial workflows in a collaborative, hybrid setting. As part of the AI Lab team within DerivativeEDGE, you will report to the AI Lab lead and collaborate with Engineering, Product, and domain experts. This hands-on role focuses on building LLM-powered solutions and agentic workflows for complex financial environments. You'll need to thrive amid ambiguity while ensuring robust AI capabilities that clients depend on every day. Key Responsibilities:
- Build and deliver LLM-powered features for DerivativeEDGE
- Design agentic workflows for multi-step financial processes
- Manage data engineering aspects, including pipelines and quality
- Transition smoothly from experimentation to production
- Shape the AI Lab's technical direction and tooling practices
- Expertise in LLMs: prompt engineering, fine-tuning, agents
- Experience in data engineering and real workflow pipelines
- Proficiency in Python and AI/ML frameworks
- Familiarity with MLOps for deploying AI models
- Cloud platform experience with Azure, AWS, or GCP
