Software Developer

Our Client is looking for a Senior Software Developer to support Ontario Health s eForms and SADIE initiatives. The selected consultant will contribute to the design, development, testing, and deployment of web based applications that support the provincial eForms rollout and EMR integration.
This role is ideal for a strong frontend developer with deep Angular, TypeScript, Bootstrap, SPA, REST API, OAuth 2.0, JWT, Azure DevOps, and CI/CD experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and build web application features based on business and technical requirements
- Develop frontend solutions using Angular, TypeScript, Bootstrap, HTML5, CSS, SASS, LESS, and JavaScript
- Build and maintain Single Page Applications integrated with RESTful backend APIs
- Translate requirements and specifications into working, tested, and deployable applications
- Develop UI prototypes when required
- Write automated unit tests using tools such as Jasmine or Jest
- Troubleshoot functional, technical, and performance issues
- Participate in peer code reviews, pull requests, CI/CD, change management, and DevOps practices
- Collaborate with business analysts, solution architects, product teams, and operations teams
- Support production issue investigation and resolution
- Maintain clear technical documentation and support knowledge transfer
Must Have Skills:
- Expert level experience with Angular, TypeScript, and Bootstrap
- 8 plus years of experience designing, building, and maintaining Single Page Applications integrated with RESTful APIs
- Strong frontend development experience with JavaScript, HTML5, JSON, npm, Webpack, Babel, LESS, CSS, and SASS
- Strong knowledge of OAuth 2.0 and JSON Web Token
- Hands on Agile development experience using Azure DevOps, Azure Repos, pull requests, and CI/CD pipelines
- Strong communication skills and ability to explain complex technical information clearly
- Public sector experience is required
Nice to Have:
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline
- Experience with authenticated, customer focused applications
- Experience with Microsoft Azure services, including AKS, Azure Service Bus, and Azure Functions
- AWS experience
- Backend experience with Java Spring Boot
- Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, relational databases, and NoSQL databases
- Knowledge of AODA, WCAG 2.0, accessibility, and security best practices
- Healthcare integration experience using HL7 FHIR standards
- Experience with cross browser and cross platform solutions
Project Overview:
The consultant will support Ontario Health s eForms MVP and SADIE EMR Integration. The project involves building a digital forms publication pipeline, supporting a provincial library of electronic forms, migrating MTO forms to the eForms platform, enabling dynamic form behavior, supporting patient and provider data pre population, and aligning structured data capture with interoperability standards.
