Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Software Developer 1 with a strong background in Java/Kotlin, AWS and React/Typescript to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for developing high-quality, innovative software solutions that align with Intuit's core values of integrity, customer obsession, courage, respect for each other, and innovation. Familiarity with GenAI is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Successful delivery of high‑quality web or mobile software (requirements, design, code, documentation, etc.)
- Roughly 80‑95% hands‑on coding
- Contribute to early quality activities, including peer reviews of estimates, designs and code
- Resolve defects/bugs during QA testing, pre‑production, production, and post‑release patches
- Partner effectively with all team members to deliver against commitments
Qualifications
- BS/MS in computer science or equivalent work experience.
- 2+ years experience developing web, software, or mobile applications.
- Solid grasp of software engineering fundamentals, algorithms, design patterns and their practical application.
- Full‑stack software development skill set is preferred.
- Experience with Java/ Kotlin (Python is a plus).
- Experience in UI frameworks like React, Typescript, Redux, Backbone, Angular.
- Experience in frontend software development using Javascript, HTML5, CSS3.
- Understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Experience with web services (REST or SOAP).
- Understanding of unit testing & Test Driven Development (TDD).

- Helpful, can‑do attitude and a willingness to take ownership of problems.
- Strong desire to learn and grow.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills with a history of superb delivery against assigned tasks.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Compensation
Intuit provides a competitive compensation package with a strong pay‑for‑performance rewards approach. This position will be eligible for a cash bonus, equity rewards and benefits, in accordance with our applicable plans and programs. Pay offered is based on factors such as job‑related knowledge, skills, experience, and work location.
