Your new role
As a Data Governance Consultant, you will play a critical role in designing and implementing enterprise-wide data governance frameworks and capabilities. You will lead initiatives focused on data quality, metadata management, lineage tracking, and compliance, leveraging Microsoft Purview and modern data platforms.
You will partner cross-functionally to elevate governance maturity, establish standards, and drive adoption across both technical and non-technical stakeholders. This includes building governance policies, enabling data classification and cataloging, automating workflows, and ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements.
What you'll need to succeed
- 5+ years of experience in data governance, with a strong focus on implementing governance frameworks and technologies
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Purview, including data cataloging, metadata management, classification, and lineage
- Proven experience developing and implementing enterprise-level governance policies, standards, and operating models
- Strong knowledge of data governance frameworks, data quality management, and compliance best practices
- Experience defining data ownership models, stewardship roles, and governance processes
- Expertise in implementing data quality rules, validation frameworks, and monitoring processes
