Junior Breakfast Server

Job Responsibility:

Hamilton High Street Senior Residence is centrally located in East Richmond, only minutes of drive to New Westminster, Burnaby, and Richmond Center, and we are looking for empathetic, positive and passionate individuals in joining our team to support a lifestyle of choices and freedom for our residents.

Position Summary:

Under the direction of the Maitre'd is responsible for assisting servers to serve food in accordance with proper food service procedures, with an emphasis on presentation; cleaning and setting up the dining room between meals, washing dishes and cleaning the kitchen as required.

Experience:

Restaurant or Hotel Server experience with POS system.

Education:

• Must have a minimum Canadian grade 10 education or equivalent.
• Must be able to read, write and comfortably communicate in English.
• Must understand oral and written instructions.
• Must have the serving it right certificate
• Must be able to be trained in the safe handling of food and in proper food service procedures.
• Food Safe Level 1 certificate
• Serving it Right certificate

• Empathy for and understanding of the needs of seniors, their families and their professional service providers.
• Good health.
• No allergies to cleaning chemicals.
• Able to perform physical work, i.e. lifting, bending etc.
• Must have a pleasant, co-operative and supportive attitude.
• Willingness and ability to learn safe and courteous food service.

2. Must be Covid vaccinated (due to licensing requirements).

Shifts are available from Monday to Sunday, 7:00am to 7:00pm.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $17.40 per hour
