We are currently seeking an experienced 310J Trailer Mechanic to join a well-established Trailer maintenance shop in Dundas, Ontario . This is an excellent opportunity for a licensed technician looking for a stable career with a company that values safety, quality workmanship, and employee development.
As a Trailer Mechanic, you will be responsible for the inspection, maintenance, diagnostics, and repair of commercial trailers, ensuring equipment remains safe, compliant, and road-ready.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair commercial trailers.
- Perform preventative maintenance inspections (PMs).
- Repair and maintain air brake systems, air lines, suspensions, wheel ends, lighting systems and structural damage.
- Conduct structural repairs including welding and fabrication as required.
- Perform trailer body repairs, flooring repairs, door repairs, and landing gear maintenance.
- Complete MTO safety inspections and ensure compliance with provincial regulations.
- Accurately document repairs and maintenance performed.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Qualifications
- Valid 310J Trailer Technician certification .
- Minimum 3 years of trailer repair experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of air brake systems, suspensions, electrical systems, and trailer structures.
- Welding and fabrication experience considered a strong asset.
- Ability to diagnose and repair a variety of trailer makes and models (dry vans, flat bed, and reefers).
- Own tools required.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Must be able to clear a pre-employment check which includes a Criminal Record Check.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
