Total Weekly Hours: 17.75hours per week
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 2:45pm - 6:00pm
Pay Rate (per Collective Agreement, includes wage grants):
* RECE- $28.90 per hour

Qualifications:
- Minimum 1-year experience working directly with children or in a childcare setting.
- Early Childhood Education Diploma (ECE) and member in good standing with the College of ECEs OR educational requirements to obtain Director’s Approval for working alone with children
- Standard First Aid with CPR Level C
- Satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Police Check
- Proof of up-to-date immunizations (TB, Tetanus, MMR)
- Familiarity with How Does Learning Happen? (an asset)
- Strong understanding of child development and age-appropriate activities.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team .
- Flexibility and adaptability to changing circumstances.
- Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion .
- Plan and implement activities to support children’s cognitive, physical, social, and emotional development .
- Ensure the safety and well-being of children at all times.
- Maintain an engaging and welcoming environment for children and families.
- Complete documentation and meet Ministry of Education requirements.
- Collaborate with Hamilton Wentworth District School Board faculty .
