Educational Assistant

Job Responsibility:

Canada After School Group is looking to hire Educational Assistant. You will play a key role in communicating with existing and new students, parents and teachers. We are looking for a friendly, professional, and hardworking individual with a team player attitude.

Responsibilities may include:

• Assisting with students and teachers to prepare lessons.
• Answering student questions regarding the tutoring center and courses
• Following up on overdue payments
• Becoming familiar with the courses yourself - you are not an instructor, but you must gain an understanding of course content in order to assist learners through the content

• Performing administrative duties, such as ordering materials, entering student data, generating reports, welcoming visitors, answering telephones, corresponding with various parties, monitoring student attendance, and handling student records
• Creating a welcoming and positive atmosphere for learners

Required skills and knowledge:

• Excellent communication skills in both English and Chinese
• proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite of products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)Knowledge of office administration procedures
• Ability to manage multiple and changing priorities at once
• High attention to detail
• Strong organization and planning skills
• Exceptional time management skills

• Fluent in the English and Chinese language
• Willingness to learn new things
• Passion for education

Job Types: Part-time, Full-time

Schedule:

• Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday from 12:30pm to 8:30pm and Saturday day shift

Education:

• Bachelor's Degree (preferred)

Experience:

• administrative assistant: 1 year (preferred)
• sales experience is preferred
• education industry experience is preferred

Work Location: In person

Salary: $16.85-$22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
