Counter Person (Sales)

Job Responsibility:

Our Timmins, ON location is currently recruiting for a full-time Counter Person. Counter Personnel are responsible for inside sales (telephone and in-person) and are the primary point of contact with our customers. As Counter Personnel have a direct impact on customer buying decisions it is an essential part of their role to provide exceptional customer service at all times.

Hourly rate based on experience.

As a member of our team the Counter Person will advise customers, handle payments, process returns/exchanges of merchandise, and will also:

• Answer incoming calls in a prompt and courteous manner
• Welcome walk-in customers and offer your assistance/knowledge
• Resolve customer complaints or concerns professionally and effectively
• Update the Store Manager of any complications with regards to store or customer related matters
• Set up displays, stock shelves and take inventory
• Keep record of lost sales
• Pre-bill all transfers and orders
• Order parts from suppliers
• Other duties as required

We are looking for a candidate that has excellent customer service skills, is self-motivated, passionate, in addition to:

• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
• Demonstrated computer skills
• Confidence and aptitude to work unsupervised and independently
• Experience working in a team-based environment
• Valid driver's licence
• Ability to lead in a team environment
• Superior time-management skills
• Ability to handle multiple priorities
• Strong attention to detail
• Knowledge of automotive parts and accessories (required)
• Knowledge of tools and equipment (an asset)
• Availability to work rotating Saturdays
