POSITION SUMMARY: Under the direction of the Direct Service Coordinator, the Protection Supervisor, is responsible for oversees and supports to the front-line CFS/Protection Worker and Support Workers, Case Aid/Drivers and Administrative staff. 

KEY RESPONSIBLITIES:

·         Provide supervision and consultations to team of CFS/Protections Workers

·         Oversee and manages service delivery of department

·         Support the implementation of all DTS administration, service and policy

·         Program development, training and management, and orientation to new hires

·         Provide and complete all administrative and reporting requirements

·         Provide reports and updates regularly to Direct Service Coordinator

·         CFSIS Training, Knowledge is required

·         Manitoba CFS standard regulations and Knowledge

·         Intake Module IM knowledge and experience

QUALIFICATION, EDUCATION, & EXPERIENCE

·         B.S.W., post-secondary degree in a related field of study and/or Child & Family Services Diploma

·         Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Child & Family Services providing mandated/voluntary services

·         Knowledge of the Manitoba Child & Family Services Act 

·         Demonstrated knowledge of collateral services/community resources and how to access

·         Excellent time management, organizational skills and computer skills

·         Have a valid driver’s license, access to a vehicle and willing to travel

·         Excellent work record/history 

·         Demonstrated knowledge and respect for the Dakota and Ojibway cultures and traditional philosophies

·         Fluency in the Dakota Language an asset
