Lead security architecture for Walrus at Mysten Labs, using security assessments and automation as a remote-first engineer worldwide. Shape protection from design onward.As a Staff Security Engineer, you will serve as Walrus’s primary security partner and contribute across Mysten’s ecosystem. You will guide infrastructure, application, and cryptographic security efforts. The work supports Sui, Move, and foundational blockchain infrastructure.Key Responsibilities:
Lead security assessments for new Walrus featuresIdentify systemic risks and recommend actionable remediation plansDrive security-by-design across development lifecyclesUse AI-driven tools and automation to address low-hanging risksMentor engineers and establish security best practicesRequirements:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, or equivalent experience8+ years of security engineering industry experienceStaff-level experience or equivalent professional backgroundSecurity generalist expertise across infrastructure, applications, and cryptographyAutomated security tooling and AI/ML experienceApply Staff Security Engineer expertise to Walrus architecture, security-by-design, automation, and complex research at Mysten Labs.
