Staff Fullstack Security Engineer
Affirm, Inc.
Build secure account experiences remotely across Canada with affirm, using Python, Kotlin, AWS, and React or Vue. Shape technical strategy for customer security.As Staff Software Engineer, Fullstack, you will guide Account Management within Trust & Safety and affirm’s Checkout organization. You will connect backend systems, web applications, and account security across complex customer journeys. Your work supports access recovery, fraud prevention, and scalable customer trust.Key Responsibilities:
Set technical strategy across a year-long planning horizonConnect teams around business-impacting product development projectsDefine technical solutions and operational processesMaintain monitoring, triage rotations, playbooks, testing, and alertingSet standards through code reviews, design, writing, and tech talksRequirements:
8+ years of software engineering experienceBackend expertise with Python, Kotlin, AWS, MySQL, and KubernetesWeb application development using React or VueExperience planning major features and system changesStrong verbal and written communication skillsBring fullstack engineering, security architecture, and technical leadership to affirm’s remote Canadian Account Management team.
