Committee Secretary Treasurer Position

Pursue a temporary full-time role as Secretary Treasurer for the Committee of Adjustment. This position involves compliance with the Planning Act and provides administrative support. The Secretary Treasurer must manage and coordinate the Committee's operations while assisting the public during application processes. Responsibilities include issuing Certificates of Official, preparing agendas for meetings, and providing procedural advice to ensure meetings meet legal and administrative obligations. This role requires strong organizational skills and effective communication with various stakeholders. Key Responsibilities:
- Administer Committee of Adjustment operations per statutory requirements
- Oversee application processes and public inquiries
- Prepare meeting agendas and circulate statutory notices
- Maintain official records and manage communication with departments
- Ensure compliance with applicable legislation and policies
- Post-secondary diploma in planning or public administration
- Two years of administrative experience in land use planning
- Understanding of the Planning Act and municipal governance
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines
