Mechanical Supervisor With Iamgold Greater Sudbury

Shape the future of mining at IAMGOLDs Côté Gold Mine as a Mechanical Supervisor. Oversee mechanical maintenance to ensure safety, reliability, and efficiency of mill operations. This critical role involves leading and coordinating all mechanical maintenance activities while ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards. You will supervise trades personnel, facilitate training, and manage maintenance schedules to support production goals. Work closely with engineering and operations to lead continuous improvement efforts and foster a safety-focused culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead mechanical maintenance support for mill operations
- Ensure safety and environmental compliance across all activities
- Develop and mentor mechanical trades personnel
- Plan and coordinate maintenance based on schematics
- Identify improvement opportunities and manage associated risks
Requirements
- College diploma in industrial mechanic or similar discipline
- Preferred Certificate of Qualification in Ontario
- 7+ years of mechanical experience is essential
- Leadership experience of at least 1 year
- Completion of an apprenticeship is required
