Japanese Nanny & Family Assistant

We are a warm and busy family of musicians living in North Saanich, looking for a kind, reliable, and experienced person to help with both our daughter and our household. Our daughter, Dahlia, is almost 20 months old. She is a happy, curious, and social little girl who loves books, music, being outdoors, and exploring and learning new things. We would love to find someone who genuinely enjoys spending time with young children and will engage with her through play, reading, outdoor activities, and everyday life. I am Japanese, so finding someone who speaks Japanese would be a wonderful bonus. I would love for Dahlia to have more opportunities to hear and speak Japanese naturally and maintain a strong connection to the language and culture. I work primarily from home, but as we are a family of musicians and work in the entertainment industry, our schedule can sometimes be a little unconventional. We are mainly looking for part-time help during the weekdays, and we can be somewhat flexible with the schedule. The position would be a combination of childcare and helping with the household. In addition to spending time with Dahlia, we would appreciate help with cooking, laundry, light cleaning, grocery shopping, and occasional errands. Having a driver’s licence and being comfortable driving would also be helpful. From time to time, I may also appreciate an extra pair of hands with simple social media content, such as helping me film a quick video on a phone or camera. No professional experience is necessary—just someone who is comfortable helping out and enjoys being part of a creative household.
