Hawksworth Restaurant is internationally recognized for its contemporary, ingredient-driven cuisine that celebrates Vancouver's cultural diversity and spectacular local ingredients. Located in the iconic Rosewood Hotel Georgia in the heart of downtown Vancouver, Hawksworth offers an exceptional dining experience supported by one of Canada's most respected wine programs.
About You
You're curious, knowledgeable, and genuinely excited about the world of wine. Whether you're recommending the perfect pairing or sharing the story behind a bottle, you love creating memorable experiences for guests.
You:
- Have a strong understanding of grape varieties, wine regions, vintages, terroir, and winemaking.
- Stay current with industry trends while continually expanding your wine knowledge.
- Enjoy engaging with guests and confidently answering questions about wine and food pairings.
- Are actively involved in the wine community through tastings, trade events, educational opportunities, and continual palate development.
- Thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment where hospitality comes first.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a fine dining or comparable restaurant environment.
- Sommelier certification is preferred, or you're actively working toward completing your certification.
- Excellent communication skills and a genuine passion for hospitality.
- Strong attention to detail, integrity, and the ability to perform with confidence under pressure.
