Are you highly analytical, detail-oriented, and interested in the evolving world of energy trading? Our client is seeking an Trade Operations Analyst to support its Supply & Trading operations by ensuring physical, financial, renewable, and carbon transactions are captured accurately. This is an exciting opportunity to work closely with trading professionals while helping introduce automation and AI-enabled technology into critical business processes.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

• Accurately enter, validate, amend, and maintain physical, financial, renewable, and carbon compliance transactions in Allegro and RightAngle

• Review deal recaps, trader communications, and supporting documents to confirm all transaction details are complete and accurate

• Work directly with traders to clarify missing or inconsistent information before deals are entered

• Maintain trade records throughout the transaction lifecycle, including amendments, cancellations, confirmations, and settlements

• Reconcile information across ETRM systems, deal recaps, and trade confirmations, investigating and resolving discrepancies

• Partner with Front, Middle, and Back Office teams to prevent delays, protect data integrity, and reduce operational and financial risk

• Monitor AI-generated trade entries, identify exceptions, and provide feedback to improve system accuracy and performance

• Identify opportunities to automate manual work and improve trade capture processes, controls, and data quality

• Support reporting, training, contract management activities, and other projects as required

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE:

• Two to three years of experience in trade capture, trade operations, data management, transactional data entry, or a related commercial support role

• Experience within energy, commodities, oil and gas, or another trading environment is considered an asset

• Familiarity with Energy Trading and Risk Management systems; experience with Allegro or RightAngle would be especially valuable

• Your strong attention to detail will help ensure complex transactions are entered accurately and supported by complete documentation

• Use your analytical and problem-solving skills to reconcile data, investigate discrepancies, and determine their potential business impact

• Confidence communicating with traders and cross-functional teams to clarify information and resolve issues
