Expected Start Date: August 17, 2026 Union: HSAS Facility: Yorkton Community Services - Public Health City/Town: Yorkton Department: Enhanced Preventative Dental Services Type: Full-time regular FTE: 1 Shift Information: Days Number of Hours per Rotation: 28 shifts of 8 hours per 6 weeks Relief: No Float: No Hours of Work: Field Hours Salary or Pay Band: Pay Band Health Educator - Senior $39.44 to $48.226 Travel Required: Yes Job : The Health Educator - Senior position specializes in stimulating, coordinating, and delivering oral health prevention and promotion activities in the community. This position is responsible for a leadership role in the community related to community development, advocacy, and public relations. This position is under the supervisor of the Manager who is responsible to the Director Human Resources Exemption: No Education- Graduate from a recognized Dental Therapy program
Licenses
- Valid Class 5 driver's license
Other Education and Training
- Graduate from a recognized Dental Hygenist program is also acceptable

- Knowledge in population health promotion and its relationship to health status
- Ability to interact in a positive and culturally appropriate manner
- Knowledge of current scientific info/research/best practice in oral health
- Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
- Ability to diagnose dental decay/abscesses and identify oral abnormalities
- Advocates delivery of culturally safe, responsive & people-centered healthcare
- Knowledge in population health promotion approaches and community development
- Knowledge in oral health and overall health relationship
