Job Summary
Provide comprehensive primary care to patients of all ages delivering evidence-based diagnosis treatment and preventive services. Coordinate patient care with specialists and allied health professionals while maintaining accurate clinical documentation.

Main Duties
- Obtain detailed medical histories perform physical examinations and order or interpret diagnostic tests to establish diagnoses.
- Develop implement and adjust individualized treatment and care plans including prescribing medications and therapies.
- Deliver preventive care services such as routine screening immunizations health promotion and lifestyle counselling.
- Manage acute illnesses and exacerbations of chronic conditions and perform minor clinical procedures as appropriate.
- Coordinate referrals to specialists collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and follow up on patient progress and specialist recommendations.
- Maintain accurate and timely medical records using electronic medical record systems and ensure appropriate follow-up and continuity of care.
Requirements
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree or equivalent from an accredited institution.
- Completion of a residency program in family medicine or equivalent postgraduate training.
- Certification or eligibility for certification by the College of Family Physicians of Canada or an equivalent certifying body.
- Eligibility for registration and licensure with the provincial or territorial medical regulatory authority.
- Clinical experience in primary care or family medicine demonstrating competence in diagnosis and management.
- Proficiency in English with effective verbal and written communication skills; ability to communicate in French is an asset.
