Paladin Security is currently accepting applications for Security Officers to support a client site in the Squamish area. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where professionalism, customer service, and safety are top priorities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform access control for all authorized personnel, visitors, and vehicles.
- Conduct regular interior and exterior foot patrols to maintain a safe and secure environment.
- Monitor CCTV systems and security equipment.
- Protect client property and assets by identifying and responding to potential security risks.
- Enforce site policies and procedures while maintaining a professional and customer-focused approach.
- Respond to security incidents and emergencies, taking appropriate action and completing investigations as required.
- Communicate effectively with the client, emergency services, and internal teams.
- Complete detailed reports, occurrence reports, and daily activity logs.
- Assist with traffic control and other security-related duties as required.
Requirements:
- Valid BC Security Worker Licence.
- Excellent communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to stand and patrol for the majority of an 8–12 hour shift.
- Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Comfortable navigating stairs, uneven terrain, and large properties.
- Ability to remain calm and professional while responding to emergencies or challenging situations.
- Basic computer proficiency, including report writing, smartphone applications, and two-way radio communication.
- Strong teamwork skills and the ability to build positive working relationships with clients, coworkers, members of the public, and emergency responders.
