3M is seeking a Shift Supervisor to support data-driven decision-making across manufacturing operations located in Brockville, ON.Successful security clearance under the Canadian Controlled Goods Registration program is a mandatory pre-requirement for this position at this location.Must be a Canadian citizen normally residing in Canada, or must be a Permanent Resident normally residing in Canada.Must have valid and current identification (i.E.: driver’s license, passport, birth certificate).Must be able to provide a residential address and employment history of the past 5 years.If applicable, living outside of Canada during the past five years will require an international criminal name check.The Impact You’ll Make in this Role
Ensures a safe working environment through formal inspections/audits, correcting unsafe behaviors, safety/crew meetings, and utilizing proper work methods, procedures and equipment.Incident investigation, problem solving and root cause analysis (EHS and quality).Ensure employees receive training as specified.Provides effective communication to employees through daily interaction, electronic mail, etc.Provide direct supervision and development to production and/or hourly employees.Plans and coordinates priorities, allocates work assignments, and regulates production process in order to meet specific daily production requirements.Monitors production rates, yields, and quality of products on a daily basis and provides feedback to employees and supervisor on results.Organizes and reviews changeovers with appropriate staff to minimize downtime.Addresses production issues such as scheduling, quality, run time, etc.Lead/participate in Kaizen continuous improvement sessions, make process suggestions to improve quality and reduce costs, involved with managing tier 1, 2 processes.Involved with Lean Management systems deployment, implements cost reduction programs to ensure the efficient utilization of labor, materials, and equipment.Part of Brockville Leadership Group with responsibility for flexibility to work at any shift.Primary plant management representative during off shifts.Your Skills and Expertise
High School Diploma/GED or higher (completed and verified prior to start) and a minimum of five (5) years of manufacturing experience in a private, public, government or military environment OR Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution and a minimum of three (3) years of manufacturing experience in a private, public, government or military environment.Associate’s Degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution.Previous supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.Excellent organization skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple assignments.Experience participating in and/or leading Continuous Improvement projects.Good people skills including the ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate effectively.Desire and experience in leading change.Demonstrated administrative and computer skills including Microsoft Office proficiency.Location and Travel

The expected compensation range for this position is $86,344 - $113,975, which includes base pay plus variable incentive pay, if eligible.This range represents a good faith estimate for this position.Safety is a core value at 3M.
