Agilent seeks an Associate Vice President of Business Development for its newly formed Advanced Therapeutics Division to drive commercial strategy and growth in contract development and manufacturing services. The role involves identifying new biotech and pharma partnerships, executing go-to-market strategies, and leading cross-functional teams to expand market presence in CDMO services.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute business growth strategy for CDMO services across multiple modalities and Canadian locations
- Identify, cultivate, and secure new business opportunities with biotech and pharmaceutical companies
- Lead deal negotiations, contract structuring, and partnerships to drive revenue growth and meet KPIs
- Serve as trusted advisor to clients, understanding their development and manufacturing challenges
- Provide leadership and mentorship to business development team while collaborating with cross-functional teams
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in life sciences, chemistry, biotechnology, or related field
- Proven experience in business development or sales within biotech/pharma manufacturing
- Established relationships with procurement and decision-makers at biotech and pharmaceutical companies
- Strong understanding of CDMO services including fermentation, small molecule manufacturing, and cell line development
- Experience with contract negotiation, deal structuring, and strategic partnership development
- Ability to understand technical aspects of manufacturing across multiple modalities
