About the role

The Associate, Member Services, monitors a suite of insurance and financial programs, which promote professional and financial well-being. The Associate, Member Services is a member of a small, dynamic team that strives to offer a positive experience to partners, regulators, and participants, through the delivery of high-quality services and products. This role reports to the National Program Manager of Member Services and is within the Finance Department.

Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for program monitoring, data evaluation, reporting, and risk management for mid-to-large scale participant and corporate programs.
• Actively participates and collaborates with the National Program Manager in drafting and developing requests for proposals (RFPs), technical and financial criteria, and evaluating bids.
• Evaluates and distributes reports to key stakeholders on program metrics, outcomes, and the data interpretation.
• Provides input and guidance on the external marketing and communication strategies in collaboration with program partners to enhance program awareness, increase acquisition and retention, and ensure program sustainability.
• Conducts marketing and educational content reviews and collaborates with partners, and Engineers Canada’s Communication team to ensure the materials meet guidelines.
• Actively participates in the development of the internal marketing and communication strategies and coordinates inter-departmental input.
• Evaluates and monitors website data analytics by program type, tracks and monitors site volume, click through rates, volume of returning users, and makes recommendations based upon the evaluation.
• Researches, identifies, and monitors emerging benefits, products, and/or enhancements to products and services.
• Advocates on behalf of program participants to ensure their concerns are addressed by the supplier/partner and are efficiently resolved.

Education and Experience Requirements

Education

• Graduate from a recognized University, specializing in Marketing, Business, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience

• Minimum of (5) five years of experience with group benefits and the insurance industry as a plan sponsor. Experience in corporate liability programs is an asset.

• Experience in identifying, implementing, monitoring, and evaluating programs and services to grow and continuously improve products and services.
• Ability to build effective collaborative working relationships.
• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Meticulous attention to detail is essential.
• Experience in providing superior service in a busy environment.
• Proficient in the use of Project Management principles and practices.
• Experience incorporating EDI (Equity, Diversity, Inclusion) lens when working with partners, participants, staff, and volunteers.
• Strong organizational, interpersonal, problem-solving and time management skills.

Desirable

• Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office 365 Business, SharePoint, and Microsoft Teams.

Language

• Proficiency in English is required. Proficiency in French is an asset.

About our working conditions

This is a full-time, permanent position that is based out of our Ottawa head office.

There is a requirement to work a minimum of (3) three days/week in the office for the first (3) three months of probationary period and eight days (8) days/month after the completion of the probationary period. There is a requirement to occasionally work weekends and evenings and this position may require occasional travel within Canada.
