COMMERCIAL SALES SPECIALIST

The Sales Specialist is an established performer that helps with implementing initiatives and promotions, coordinating material inventory, and researching top commercial projects and new businesses. This role is responsible for compiling customer analysis, providing training support, monitoring team sales progress, and proposing improvements.

Duties and Responsibilities of the Position:

Ensure protocols for fabrication, installation, and maintenance procedures are met, and assist with the development of marketing materials to support field services.

Provide sustainability training updates on programs like LEED and other green building rating systems; developing targets for exteriors team to partner with landscape architects; identifying and distributing project leads for exterior products; identifying crossover opportunities on competitor specifications; coordinating field training events and trade shows on the exterior side

Help establish the core set of materials and schedule essential for training sessions.

Assist with training of various partners, departments, and customers in all aspects of large porcelain slabs.

Provide support for installation technical issues to provide customers with high level of technical knowledge to ensure products are installed properly.

Review product and installation guidelines with prospective partners and/or current customers for specifications compliance.

Help to inspect claims that may relate to product, fabrication, and installation; review issues and communicate and/or negotiate with sales or the customer.

Research and promote product offerings that best supports sales and achieves performance success.

Perform accurate analyses, conduct research, and draw meaningful conclusions about potential job/work-area impacts.

Draw from prior experience, interpret facts, and identify incomplete data/anomalies to solve problems.

Use innovative solutions to enhance personal work and, where applicable, the work of the team.

Effectively apply functional, process, and procedural or technical knowledge to address business challenges.

Perform other duties as needed.

Required Experience and Education:

Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.

2-4 years’ relevant experience OR equivalent combination of education and experience. Competencies: Describe the specific knowledge, skills, and abilities required for this position in terms

Competencies:

Demonstrates strong knowledge of technical, process, and business principles as well as industry practices and standards.
Excellent communication, problem solving, and organizational skills.
Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
High level of integrity and discretion in handling sensitive and confidential data.
Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite products.

Other Pertinent Job Information:

The ability to lift 50 pounds regularly.
