NLHS Western Zone is seeking the services of a salaried, Family Physician to provide primary care at the DeGrau Medical Clinic, Newfoundland and Labrador. The position includes clinical and administrative duties involving family practice and is a member of the Bay St. George Family Care Team. Collaborative Team support will be provided from the Bay. St. George Family Care Team Clinic. The Physician will be required to provide cross-coverage for family practice services at other clinics in the area during temporary absences of other medical staff.
The regional referral centre for Western Health is Western Memorial Regional Hospital, a 164-bed facility that provides services to a population base of approximately 80,000 people. We are affiliated with Memorial University of Newfoundland and Labrador Faculty of Medicine, and we encourage and support academic interests.
Qualifications Require : Medical Degree, eligible for licensure as a Family Physician with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Newfoundland and Labrador (CPSNL) and satisfy credentialing requirements of Western Health's Discipline of Family Practice. Minimum of 2 years experience in related work is an asset.

Remuneration : The General Practice Salary Scale ranges from $225,512.88 - $244,093.03 as outlined in the current Memorandum of Agreement (MOA). The Department of Health and Community Services in accordance with Provincial Guidelines will officially determine a Physician's step assignment with yearly progression thereafter.
