North American Sales Manager

Job Responsibility:

Based in North Vancouver since 1986, we are a dynamic software engineering and asset performance management (APM) company. Our continuing growth and succession planning means that we are recruiting a North American Sales Manager to increase business by developing relationships with potential clients, strengthening existing relationships, and providing sales support for our distribution channels. Providing product knowledge to support the sales efforts, expertise to our customers, helping them get the best possible outcome from the use of their DMSI software and associated hardware.

The successful candidate will be self-confident with an engaging personal style, and able to interact with a range of stakeholders both internally and externally. To thrive in this role, you will need to be resilient, detail-orientated, pragmatic and resourceful. The ability to work both independently and as part of a team is strongly preferred. Product training in our technology and systems will be provided.

This role requires travel to customer premises in the US and, occasionally, other locations around the globe - therefore a valid passport and ability to travel without restriction are required.

Responsibilities:

Direct Support to VP Sales & Marketing

• Sales reporting and analysis
• Contribution to Sales & Marketing / Operational Planning

Sales Support

• Plan, coordinate and manage lead generation programs
• Sales presentation content development, preparation & Customization
• Sales campaign planning, budgeting, coordination and reporting
• Communication with Representatives

Marketing Support

• Trade show and sales meeting planning and coordinating
• Contributing to marketing material
• Competitor Understanding
• Competitor Analysis, market research, keeping up to date with the latest industry news

This is vital role to DMSI, which will be central to the quality and success of our sales and marketing activity and we are looking for someone who combines a friendly and engaging personality and as part of a team is strongly preferred.

Candidate Profile:

The right candidate will be driven, results oriented, keen to progress their career and will have strong leadership potential.

• University Degree ( Business, Engineering, Marketing or Communications)
• Sales and leadership capability
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint)
• Fluent spoken and written English is essential.
• This role will require occasional travel (North America and overseas).
• Valid Driver License is required.
