Project Manager - Junior to Intermediate

Location: Regina, SK or Saskatoon, SK

We are seeking two qualified Junior to Intermediate Project Manager resources to provide project coordination and delivery support for a large scale transformational initiative . The two roles are described below:

Project Delivery Support

• Perform tactical project management activities.

• Coordinate project tasks, activities, and dependencies.

• Track and follow up on action items, risks, issues, and decisions.

• Facilitate communication among project team members and stakeholders.

• Support project planning and reporting activities.

• Maintain project documentation and ensure teams remain organized and focused on established priorities.

PMO and Governance Support

• Support project governance processes for a large-scale initiative.

• Assist with status reporting, governance meetings, dashboards, and project controls.

• Ensure compliance with organization project management standards, methodologies, and reporting requirements.

• Support the PMO in maintaining project artifacts, schedules, and decision records.

Reporting and Accountability

All Project Manager resources will functionally report to the Director, Enterprise Project Management Office (EPMO) and will be responsible for adhering to organization project management standards, governance processes, and delivery methodologies.

Project Manager resources will also be accountable to the designated Program Director or the successful delivery of assigned programs and projects.

These role(s) will be required primarily on-site at organization’s Head office in Regina for the duration of the engagement with consideration of occasional offsite work.

Key Responsibilities for the Junior to Intermediate Project Manager(s) may include:

• Perform day-to-day project management and coordination activities in support of project objectives, schedules, and deliverables.

• Coordinate project tasks, activities, work packages, and interdependencies across multiple teams, stakeholders, and vendors to ensure work progresses as planned.

• Develop, maintain, and monitor project schedules, work plans, action logs, decision logs, risk registers, issue logs, and dependency trackers.

• Track, monitor, and follow up on action items, risks, issues, assumptions, decisions, and deliverables, ensuring timely resolution and escalation where appropriate.

• Support project governance processes, including preparation of status reports, dashboards, meeting materials, presentations, and briefing documents.

• Facilitate project meetings, workshops, and working sessions; document meeting outcomes, decisions, action items, and follow-up activities.

• Liaise with project team members, business stakeholders, vendors, and leadership to support effective communication, information sharing, and alignment of project priorities.

• Assist in the development, maintenance, and monitoring of project plans, schedules, resource plans, budgets, and project forecasts.

• Support project reporting activities by gathering, validating, and consolidating project information for delivery to project leadership, steering committees, and governance bodies.

• Monitor project progress against approved scope, schedule, budget, and milestones, identifying variances and supporting corrective action planning.

• Ensure project documentation is current, complete, and maintained in accordance with organization project management standards, methodologies, governance requirements, and record management practices.

• Contribute to quality assurance activities, including tracking deliverables, and ensuring adherence to approved project management practices and standards.

• Support stakeholder engagement activities by coordinating communications, scheduling meetings, preparing materials, and following up on commitments and decisions.

• Maintain a strong understanding of project priorities, deadlines, dependencies, and critical path activities to help keep teams organized, focused, and aligned on delivery objectives.

• Provide PMO and governance support for large-scale initiatives, including maintenance of governance artifacts, reporting processes, project controls, and executive reporting requirements.

• Identify opportunities to improve project delivery processes, coordination practices, reporting, and organizational effectiveness.

Requirements and Qualifications:

• Three (3) to seven (7) years of proven IT project management experience in a project management related role.

• Project management education and/or certifications (PMP)

• Three (3) to seven (7) years of proven vendor management experience.

• Proven experience working in a PMO environment.

• Proven experience working in cross functional project teams

• Experience working on a agile or hybrid project.

• Proficiency with project management software.

• Excellent written skills and employs a disciplined approach to managing project records.

• Demonstrated interpersonal, management, and communication skills at all levels of the organization.

• Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills.

• Proven project and resource planning capabilities

• Proven ability to analyze complex problems and find innovative solutions.

• Experience managing the implementation of SaaS cloud solutions would be an asset.
