Supply Chain Advisor

TAQA North is seeking a Supply Chain Advisor to support the Well Servicing, Environment and Corporate categories. You will report to the Supply Chain Supervisor to support sourcing, supplier engagement, and related activities across the contract lifecycle.

Please note that this is a full-time position, based out of our Calgary office located downtown.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Procurement & Contracts Planning: Work proactively with internal stakeholders to define supply requirements and appropriate sourcing strategies for upcoming activities.
• Sourcing Activities: Execute sourcing activities under the annual sourcing plan and/or project-specific procurement and contract plans, including:
  • handling purchase and sourcing requisitions from internal stakeholders,
  • assisting with development of sourcing strategies and evaluation criteria aligned with technical and commercial requirements, executing end-to-end RFx events, including documentation, communications, and clarification tracking
  • conducting qualitative and quantitative analyses to support defensible RFx outcomes,
  • participating in commercial negotiations
  • monitoring and reporting on supplier performance
• Agreements: Prepare and issue contracts, purchase orders, and work orders, as required in collaboration with the Contracts Team.
• Compliance: Ensure supplier spend complies with applicable company policies and procedures.
• Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to source required goods and services, improve supplier performance, and align procurement activities with business objectives.
• Continuous Improvement: Support continuous improvement initiatives to improve workflows and efficiency.
• Market and Supplier Analysis: Gather and summarize internal and external data to support fact-based decision-making, including market benchmark information and supplier capability research.
• Operational Efficiencies: Identify and drive process improvements with stakeholders and suppliers and resolve issues that arise.
• Supply Chain Metrics: Track and monitor key supply chain metrics, including cost savings and cost avoidance.
• Supplier Performance/Relationship Management: Support supplier contract amendments, renewals, and relationship management activities while helping maintain quality, reliability, favorable contract terms, and safety performance.

Your Qualifications:

• 1–3 years of practical experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, contracts administration, supply chain management, or a related business function. Experience supporting Well Servicing or Environment categories is considered an asset.
• Bachelor's degree or diploma in a relevant field, such as Business Administration or Supply Chain Management, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Working knowledge of procurement principles and leading practices is preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, cross-functional team environment with strong collaboration, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to be adaptable and responsive to change with a solutions-oriented mindset.
• Excellent attention to detail, with commitment to accuracy and thoroughness in all tasks.
• Ability to support the preparation of sourcing strategies, justifications, RFx documentation, clarification tracking, evaluations, and recommendations to award.
• Ability to support the preparation of work orders, purchase orders, and related contract documentation, ensuring scope and commercial requirements are accurately captured.
• Clear communication skills, sound judgment, and an interest in developing negotiation and stakeholder management capabilities.
• Prior experience working with Indigenous communities and an ability to demonstrate a strong understanding of cultural diversity and sensitivities is a preferred asset.
• A strong team player, with a positive attitude and the ability to collaborate effectively with others to achieve common goals.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, OneDrive, and PowerPoint. Experience with Power BI is considered an asset.
• Experience with Maximo P2P software, an equivalent ERP system, or e-sourcing tools is considered an asset.
• Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
• Ability to provide three satisfactory professional references and a criminal background check.
