Daily Tasks Answer emailsAssist the public / Customer Relations
Handle telephone inquiries
Maintain files/record retention
Prepare correspondence when necessary
Prepare mass mail outs when necessary
Distribute products for rodent control Other Various Tasks
Any and all other duties assigned by the CAO/Administrator
Update mapping and Voting divisions as change of ownerships arrive
Consult with people
Prepare and arrange public hearings/meetings relating to development
Issue receipts / Take Payments
Research information as required by CAO
Issue Tax Certificates
OD/Primary Weight Permits
Start the Civic Addressing Registry
Development Permits/Building Permits
Bi Monthly Water Billing
Deposits
SAMA Maintenance
WCB Filing/Clearance
Correspondence for Council Meetings
Organizing Dust Control Skills, Abilities and Knowledge
Ability to work without supervision
Ability to show compassion and understanding for others
Ability to handle complaints and irate public
Working knowledge of applicable computer software
Ability to take initiative and maintain self-motivation
Demonstrated commitment to participating in continuing education/conventions
Ability to organize workload and manage time effectively
Demonstrated commitment to working in a team environment
Ability to Advise and provide information to Council on The Planning and Development Act, municipal planning, basic planning statement and OCP.
Ability to handle sensitive information and adhere to relevant privacy laws Job Information
This is a Monday to Friday, 8 am to 4:30 pm permanent position in office. There is a municipal pension (MEPP), sick time, full benefits, and 3 weeks vacation. The position reports to the Assistant Administrator and the CAO.
