Hiring Cafe Manager in Coquitlam

We’re opening our first Prado Coffee in Coquitlam and we’re pretty excited about it.

Prado started in Vancouver with great coffee, good food and neighbourhood cafes that feel genuinely welcoming. Now we’re bringing Prado to Coquitlam and looking for a Cafe Manager to help us open the doors, build the team and set the tone from day one.

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who loves coffee, has strong cafe experience and knows how to lead a busy, welcoming cafe.

What You’ll Do

• Maintain Prado’s standards for coffee, food, cleanliness and hospitality

• Lead the day-to-day operations of the cafe

• Build, train and support the opening team

• Lead coffee quality, drink standards and cafe service

• Support the team on the floor during service and peak periods

• Create weekly schedules using sales patterns, staffing needs, availability and operational priorities

• Order food, coffee, ingredients, packaging and supplies according to store needs

• Use store information to make informed operational decisions around scheduling, ordering, staffing and daily priorities

• Keep the store clean, organized, stocked and ready for service

• Communicate clearly with the team and Head Office

• Jump in where needed to support the store

What We’re Looking For

• Previous cafe management and leadership experience

• Strong coffee knowledge and a genuine love of coffee

• Experience leading drink quality, cafe standards and service

• Strong leadership and communication skills

• A hands-on approach

• Ability to train, coach and support a team

• Strong organization, follow-through and good judgment

• Flexible availability, including mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays as needed

• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs
