Construction Project Manager

We’re Hiring: Project Manager — Concrete Tilt-Up

ICE Group of Companies is looking for an experienced Project Manager with proven concrete tilt-up construction experience to join our team in Langley, BC.

This is not a general PM role. We are specifically looking for someone who has successfully managed concrete tilt-up projects and understands the methodology, sequencing, coordination, and execution requirements involved. As we continue to grow, we are shortlisting candidates now ahead of construction commencing in late Q2 / Q3 2026.

ICE Group of Companies is a diversified general contractor based in Langley, BC. We deliver projects on time, on budget, and to a high standard.

The successful candidate will report directly to the Director of Construction and work closely with our Site Superintendent, Project Coordinator, consultants, trades, suppliers, and clients.

While the immediate project is a concrete tilt-up development, our project pipeline includes mixed-use, condominium, steel industrial, commercial, and wood-frame construction. This role offers long-term opportunity, variety, and room for growth within the company.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead pre-construction planning, including estimating coordination, permitting, risk assessments, scheduling, and project setup
• Review and evaluate bids, negotiate with trades and suppliers, issue purchase orders, and manage sub-trade contracts
• Coordinate project start-up meetings with internal teams, clients, consultants, trades, and suppliers
• Manage project execution, including invoices, progress claims, change orders, timesheets, and payment coordination
• Monitor project schedules, budgets, costs, scope changes, and potential risks
• Communicate project risks, budget concerns, and schedule impacts to senior management
• Coordinate with the Construction Safety Officer to support WorkSafeBC and occupational health and safety compliance
• Prepare monthly cost, schedule, quality, and progress reports
• Oversee project close-out, including documentation, deficiencies, permits, final invoices, holdback releases, and lessons learned

What We’re Looking For:

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on concrete tilt-up project management experience
• Minimum 5 years of project management experience in commercial or industrial construction
• Strong understanding of concrete tilt-up construction, sequencing, panels, embeds, crane coordination, envelope coordination, site logistics, and trade coordination
• Experience managing projects from pre-construction through close-out
• Strong contract management, budget control, scheduling, and change order management skills
• Experience working with consultants, municipalities, trades, suppliers, clients, and internal project teams
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and project requirements under pressure
• Strong leadership, negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency with construction management software, accounting/project cost systems, and standard office software
• Degree or diploma in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred

• Condominium construction
• Mixed-use construction
• Steel industrial buildings
• Wood-frame construction
• Commercial tenant improvements
• General contracting experience in British Columbia
• Familiarity with BC Building Code, municipal permitting, WorkSafeBC requirements, and local construction practices
