I am currently looking for a Senior Accounting Technician for one of my clients, a healthcare organization. This is a well-rounded role involving accounts payable, accounts receivable, and month-end activities. The position is temporary and located in Montreal (Place-des-Arts metro station), with a hybrid work model offering 2 days of remote work per week and 3 days on site.

Responsibilities
Prepare and issue invoices for FMSQ services to affiliated medical associations, subsidiaries, and FFMSQ (e.g., rent, store, telephone, accreditation, and group insurance);
Reconcile accounts receivable and ensure timely collection of payments;
Perform bank reconciliations;
Provide customer service to affiliated medical associations and subsidiaries regarding billing, services offered, and membership fees;
Ensure compliance, processing, approval, and recording of invoices (FMSQ and FFMSQ);
Record and reconcile monthly payroll and committee attendance fees;
Record monthly corporate credit card statements for each department;
Prepare journal entries for FMSQ and FFMSQ (e.g., deposits and fees);
Reconcile vendor accounts and accounts payable;
Process financial assistance requests, issue payments, and prepare related reports (FFMSQ);
Manage the Finance Department email inbox;
Maintain and update finance department files and records;
Monitor and track cash flow on a weekly basis;
Analyze balance sheet accounts;
Prepare quarterly GST and QST remittance reports and journal entries, and assist with the preparation of tax filings (FMSQ and FFMSQ);
Assist in the preparation of the annual audit file;
Contribute to finance department projects and initiatives.

Your Profile
College diploma (DEC) in Accounting, Finance, or an equivalent field;
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role;
Strong command of French, both written and spoken;
Approximately 5% of duties may be performed in English (communication with suppliers and clients);
Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 applications (Excel, Outlook, Teams, etc.);
Knowledge of Dynamics 365 Business Central and Avantage accounting software is considered an asset.
