Our client, a designer and manufacturer of HVAC solutions, is seeking a Mechanical Engineer.

• Design the architecture of equipment and products used in the air conditioning industry; define their technical characteristics, perform the associated calculations, and have them validated by the team
• Design mechanical components or systems;
• Select components based on technical specifications;
• Build functional prototypes for proof of concept;
• Develop test plans, oversee their implementation and document the results;
• Draft technical documents and contribute to technical manuals, processes, and manufacturing specifications;
• Coordinate the work of drafters and monitor project timelines;
• Provide technical support during the manufacturing of new equipment.

Requirements:

• DEC/Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering or related field;
• 4 to 5 years of experience in design for manufacturing of mechanical components (sheet metal parts, castings, plastic parts, machined parts, etc.);
• Experience in static and dynamic analysis of mechanical parts and assemblies;
• Experience in production support, including the design of jigs and fixtures to facilitate assembly, calibration and testing; BOMs, and product cost estimates;
• Experience in manufacturing using sheet metal, thermodynamics, plastic extrusion, fluid systems;
• In-depth knowledge of drafting standards, GD&T, 3D modeling (preferably Inventor), FEA and dynamic simulation;
• Assets: Knowledge of UL, CSA, CE, and ISO certification standards;
• French.
