Casual Part-Time - Library Assistant

We are currently seeking a qualified and enthusiastic individual to join as a part-time, casual  Library Assistant with the Community Services Department. Are you responsible and enthusiastic? KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• performs clerical duties necessary to facilitate day-to-day operations;
• registers patrons for library programs;
• helps patrons with public access computers;
• processes materials being taken out and returned;
• maintaining attractive and informative book displays.

QUALIFICATIONS

• high school diploma or equivalent;
• a minimum of one (1) year of experience in a library or administrative setting;
• exceptional customer service skills along with the desire to work with people of all ages and backgrounds; and
• basic computer skills including an understanding of how to use MS Office suite including Excel, Word, Outlook, and perform data entry are required. 

RATE OF PAY

The hourly rate for this position is $39.55, plus 4% vacation pay
