Summary

The Indigenous Relations and Reconciliation Manager, will focus on the development and implementation of Bell’s Reconciliation Strategy.  This role will lead Bell’s progress through the Canadian Council for Indigenous Business (CCIB) Partnership Accreditation in Indigenous Relations (PAIR) certification including the design and implementation of reconciliation initiatives across the organization. This role ensures measurable progress against reconciliation commitments, fosters meaningful community engagement, and guides cross-functional teams to deliver culturally responsive strategies that align with organizational values. 

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the corporate reconciliation strategy, including governance, reporting, and coordination with the Indigenous Advisory Council 
• Manage the PAIR Certification program and lead on reconciliation and Indigenous inclusion programs, policies and initiatives 
• Develop and execute Indigenous engagement strategies aligned with organizational goals and reconciliation commitments.  
• Cultivate and maintain respectful, long-term relationships with Indigenous leaders, communities, and organizations.  
• Coordinate engagement activities such as workshops, consultations, and community events in collaboration with internal and external partners.  
• Design and deliver cultural awareness tools, training programs, and communications to foster understanding across the organization.  
• Track and document engagement efforts, preparing reports and analytics for leadership and stakeholders.  
• Provide cultural guidance on community protocols, traditional knowledge integration, and reconciliation best practices.  
• Represent the organization at community events, ensuring open and transparent dialogue.  

Critical Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Indigenous Studies, Social Sciences, Business, or a related field.  
• 5–10 years of progressive experience in Indigenous/community engagement, reconciliation, or related areas.  
• Proven ability to build authentic relationships with First Nations, Inuit, and Métis communities.  
• Strong communication, cultural sensitivity, facilitation, and project coordination skills.  
• Exceptional relationship-building and interpersonal skills across diverse contexts.  
• Culturally informed decision-making and respect for Indigenous protocols.  
• Advanced organizational skills with the ability to manage complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives.  
• Capability to design and deliver community-centered training and communications.  

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with Indigenous Advisory Councils or formal governance structures.  
• Background in implementing reconciliation action plans or Indigenous inclusion frameworks.  
• Familiarity with sectors such as resource development, infrastructure, or nonprofit organizations.  
• Project management training or certification.  
• Lived experience as a member of a First Nations, Inuit, or Métis community, or demonstrated relationships with Indigenous communities and governance structures, will be considered a significant asset and weighed alongside formal qualifications 

Adequate knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec.
