Human Resources Coordinator

Reporting to the Senior HR Manager, ParaMed, as the HR Coordinator you will support HR service delivery by coordinating inquiries, facilitating communication, and liaising across the HR team to support timely resolution of employee-related matters. This role works closely with HR Business Partners and key stakeholders, including Onboarding and Engagement Partners, to ensure alignment and effective handling of HR processes and initiatives.
This position will be based at our Head Office in Markham, Ontario. Extendicare offers a hybrid working environment.
Key Responsibilities Include
- Provide coordination and guidance to support HR Business Partners and the broader HR team in addressing employee-related matters.
- Liaise with HR Business Partners and Onboarding and Engagement Partners to support with employee relations matters, HR compliance, and strategic business initiatives.
- Support with HR communications and monitor shared inboxes, ensuring timely triage and escalation as appropriate.
- Support labour relations processes and protocols.
- Prepare HR documentation such as employee letters, announcements, and corporate communications.
- Maintain strong people metrics reporting and tracking. Provide analysis based on the data available through various internal portals.
- Support cross-functional HR projects aligned with annual strategic priorities.
- Complete other duties as assigned.
What We’re Looking For
- 1-2 years of related HR experience
- Working experience in a unionized environment is considered an asset
- Ability to solve matters in an ambiguous setting
- Strong ability to build relationships and exceptional organization and communication skills
- Must be computer proficient in Microsoft Office
