QA Automation Architect – API Automation
Location: Scarborough, ON (Hybrid)
Experience: 10+ Years
Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced QA Automation Architect with strong expertise in API Automation, Quality Engineering, and enterprise automation frameworks . The ideal candidate will have experience in the eCommerce domain , CI/CD, QA governance, and modern testing strategies across web, mobile, data, and AI platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and implement QA architecture, automation frameworks, and testing standards.
- Design scalable automation solutions for Web, Mobile, API, Data, and AI applications.
- Develop API automation using Karate, Rest Assured, and Postman .
- Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines with a Shift-Left testing approach.
- Drive quality governance, reporting, feedback loops, and automation best practices.
- Lead Integration, Acceptance, Performance, and Security testing initiatives.
- Mentor QA teams and promote Quality Engineering best practices.
- Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to ensure high-quality, scalable solutions.
Required Skills
- 10+ years of experience in API Automation .
- Hands-on experience with Karate, Rest Assured, and Postman .
- Strong programming skills in Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, Spring Boot, ReactJS, NextJS, HTML, CSS, and Tailwind CSS .
- Experience with CI/CD , Shift-Left testing, and automation strategy.
- Hands-on experience with Docker, ContainerD, Kubernetes (K8S/K3S) .
- Experience with Artifactory, GCR, ACR, and ECR .
- Strong understanding of REST APIs, GraphQL, Event-Driven Architecture, Kafka, and Pub/Sub .
- Experience with ITIL v4 processes (Change, Incident, Problem, and Knowledge Management).
- Knowledge of Miro, Diagrams.net, FigJam, and Mermaid.js .
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, and presentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years in QA Architecture/Automation Leadership .
- Experience in the eCommerce domain.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
