Senior QA Automation Consultant-(Frontend Playwright, GCP)

Position Description
We are seeking a QA Automation Consultant with strong expertise in frontend test execution using Playwright to support delivery of cloud-native applications hosted on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

You will be responsible for building and executing automated UI test frameworks, integrating testing into CI/CD pipelines, and ensuring high-quality, stable releases within an Agile delivery model.

Your future duties and responsibilities
• Design and develop frontend automation scripts using Playwright
• Build and maintain scalable, reusable automation frameworks
• Execute end-to-end, regression, and smoke test suites
• Integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines (GCP Cloud Build or equivalent)
• Perform cross-browser testing (Chromium, WebKit, Firefox)
• Validate UI workflows and responsive design behavior
• Collaborate with development and business teams
• Track defects using JIRA or Azure DevOps
• Support testing of cloud-native applications on GCP
• Provide reporting on test execution and quality metrics

Required qualifications to be successful in this role
• 3–7 years QA experience
• 2+ years Playwright automation
• Cloud-based testing (GCP preferred)
• Agile/Scrum experience
• Playwright UI automation expertise
• Proficiency in TypeScript / JavaScript
• Experience with parallel execution and cross-browser testing
• Automation framework design (Playwright Test, POM)
• Experience with GCP (Cloud Run, GKE, App Engine)
• CI/CD pipeline integration experience
• API testing using Postman or similar tools

Nice to have:

• React or Angular application testing
• Microservices and containerized environments
• Banking/financial services experience
• Accessibility testing (WCAG)
• Test reporting tools (Allure, Playwright reports)

CGI is providing a reasonable estimate of the pay range for this role. The determination of this range includes factors such as skill set level, geographic market, experience and training, and licenses and certifications. Compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $80,000–$130,000. This role is an existing vacancy.
