Medical Science Liaison, Psychiatry, Western Canada

AbbVie seeks a Medical Science Liaison for its psychiatry division covering western Canada. The role involves building relationships with external medical experts, providing scientific information, and supporting investigator-initiated studies and clinical research initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain scientific knowledge to support credible information dissemination to external experts and healthcare professionals
- Participate in investigator-initiated studies, clinical studies, and medical projects within psychiatry
- Deliver scientific presentations to healthcare professionals individually or in group settings
- Identify and evaluate qualified healthcare professionals for collaborative research, advisory boards, and educational initiatives
- Attend scientific conferences and meetings to summarize key research data presented
Requirements
- Advanced degree: Doctorate, PharmD, or MD
- Biotech or pharmaceutical industry experience with previous MSL role preferred
- Psychiatry background considered an asset
- Customer-facing healthcare industry experience
- Ability to present and interpret scientific or clinical research publications
- Knowledge of scientific methods and clinical research regulatory controls
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and comfort with technology platforms
